Andreea Simionel was born in 1996 in Botoșani, Romania, and moved to Italy with her family at the age of eleven. She has written short stories for several Italian literary magazines. In 2022 she published Male a est (Italo Svevo Edizioni) and in 2026 the novel La ragazza d’aria (Rizzoli). She lives in Turin.
