Paolo Giordano was born in Turin in 1982. He has a master’s degree and a doctorate in theoretical physics. He is the author of La solitudine dei numeri primi (Mondadori 2008, winner of the Premio Strega and Premio Campiello Opera Prima), Il corpo umano (Mondadori 2012), Il nero e l’argento (Einaudi 2014 and 2017) and Divorare il cielo (Einaudi 2018 and 2019). He has written for the theatre (Galois and Fine pena: ora) and is a regular contributor to “Corriere della Sera”.
