Federica De Paolis

Federica De Paolis was born in Rome in 1971. Specialising in dialogue for cinema, she was nominated for the Agave di Cristallo prize for best dialogue in 2003 and for the Gran Premio Internazionale del Doppiaggio in 2019 with the movie Il Viaggio di Yao. She has taught screenwriting and creative writing at the Istituto Europeo di Design, and in 2018 she wrote the programme "Grande amore", which was hosted by Carla Signoris and broadcast on Rai 3.
With Fazi, she published the novels Lasciami andare (2006) and Via di qui (2008); and later with Bompiani the novels Ti ascolto (2011, Premio Pavoncella – Runner up in the premio Biblioteca italiana) and Rewind (2014). In 2018 Mondadori published the novel Notturno salentino (Premio internazionale di letteratura Città di Como).
Her short stories and articles have been published in Nuovi Argomenti, minima&moralia, la Repubblica, Liberazione, and Vanity Fair.
Her novels have been translated into many languages.
